Momentum is a design consultancy based in Zurich, Switzerland. We engage in industrial design and interaction design and we offer related services, such as organizing and running «Design Thinking» workshops and researching product use and customer behavior.

We help you to craft objects, which tell honest and authentic stories that resonate with the consumer. Our clients include ABB, Harman International, Johnson Outdoors, Ligne Roset, Nemo/Cassina, Similor/Laufen, Steelcase and Swisscom, among others.
Momentum was established in 2001 by Sven Adolph, who remains the company's principal. Sven holds a diploma from HFG Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, Bloomfield Hills MI, USA. He is a former a Fulbright scholar whose student work has won several international design competitions in Japan, Korea and the United States.
Sven has broad experience in design, having honed his skills at international design consultancies in Boston, San Francisco, Milan and Zurich, as well as with Philips Design. As a professional he has produced or co-produced a wide range of award winning work for top-tier clients.
Sven serves as a teacher in Industrial Design at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) and in Design Management at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU).
Chris studied Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zurich and wrote his doctoral thesis on lightweight structures. He studied Industrial Design at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). Since 2006 he is part of the Momentum Design team.
Nora is a designer working in Product Design, Graphic Design and Photography. She serves as a teacher in Industrial Design at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW). She also a published author focusing on the development of teaching methods. She holds a Master of Arts in Design from FHNW. She is a researcher at Momentum.
