SDL (Small Desk Light) is made for small spaces. Its' reduced footprint leaves enough room to actually use the working surface while still lighting up the area. It is adjustable and appeals to anyone who occasionally works from home, but does not have a full size office desk. It's also cute on a night stand.

Most light fixtures for the desktop either offer next to no adjustability, or they tend to be rather mechanical. There is not much out there in between. I saw an opportunity for a design with a small footprint, which still offers sufficient functionality in a work situation. This is of particular relevance today, since the home office is here to stay. The SDL light is a well balanced and unobtrusive composition which does what it sets out to do and is a nice object look at, even when it is switched off.
